CyberLink PowerDirector is a video editor for everyone. Away from the complexity of Premiere or Vegas, CyberLink PowerDirector greatly simplifies capturing, editing and production of home videos.
CyberLink PowerDirector's interface is divided into four sections. The first, Capture, is responsible for obtaining recordings from many different sources, such as video cameras, webcam, TV or AVCHD discs (in the Ultra Edition.) CyberLink PowerDirector controls that are available to few but clear.
Once you are ready to stock, CyberLink PowerDirector Edit section displays a number of editing possibilities. In the media library you will see clips and pictures in the folder of your choice, with options to import content from Flickr or Freesound. Clips, sounds, photos, effects and transitions are dragged to the timeline with ease.
The quality of the effects included in CyberLink PowerDirector is impressive. Some even take advantage of the acceleration provided by the graphics card. Very entertaining are embedded images, with which you can add masks and frames to video. The issue is not as sophisticated as professional packages.
Once your video is ready, the produce section will help you to export your work to the most popular formats, move it to your camcorder or exporting to Facebook and Flickr. The other option that provides CyberLink PowerDirector is to create a VCD or DVD, and even a Blu-Ray.
